Description
A wonderful Single Estate coffee from the Teoponte region of Bolivia, on the edge of the Amazon Rainforest. Our Bolivian Caranavi is roasted to a Full City Roast level. It has a smooth, full-body mouth feel and is a very well rounded coffee. It features a long lasting cocoa flavor, with sweet caramel and molasses notes paired with mild notes of clean citrus. This coffee is grown at 1,500 - 1,600m ASL. The growers partnered with the Wildlife Conservation Society and, in addition to being certified organic growers, they have been certified Smithsonian Bird Friendly, one of the toughest conservation certifications in existence. Rather than clearing the rainforest, their coffees grow underneath the shade tree canopy, which provides a favorable habitat for native and migratory bird species. (Not available in decaf.)
